The concept of the book is great. It get's a little preachy at times and he rambles a little bit, but that doesn't take much away from his thesis.

This is an OUTSTANDING piece of literary work and should be a required reading in all institutions of higher learning. Mr. Boothe has given a dynamic evidence-based perspective of, "Why Are So Many Black Men In Prison?" His personal life accounts have equipped him to have a distinct perspective on such a disproportionate affecting topic. I appreciate Mr. Boothe taking ownership of the decisions he made as a youth (drug dealing) as he explains the confounders that would thrust him in such a direction. Moreover, Mr. Boothe does not leave the reader to wonder, "What should we do?" He has outlined steps that can be taken to decrease the calamity. The book is very well put together, as it explains WHAT is the problem, factors that CAUSED the problem, through very well referenced facts, and HOW to attain the desired outcome (steps to take to stop the crisis). I consider Mr. Boothe to be of, "Supreme Intelligence". We need more brothers of his intellectual caliber. This is definitely A MUST READ!!!!!I sent this book to someone in prison and they have read the book several times over. They are even more impressed that I have read it. I personally have a couple of copies, one to keep in good condition and the other to utilize as a study book. You will find yourself highlighting, underlining, or anything else to serve as point markers.I'm looking forward to your upcoming book, Mr. Boothe!!!
